چکیده

The quantum transport through Tour Wires (TWs) was studied at room temperature and high temperature range using nonequilibrium Green’s function (NEGF) formalism combined with extended Huckel theory (EHT). AuTour Wire-Au junctions were constructed with functional groups NO2 and NH2.The influence of the temperature effect on the transport characteristics have been emphasized, and the result shows that for the TW and TW-NH2 systems conductance increase with increasing temperature indicating the dominating transport mechanism which is due to thermionic emission. The temperature dependence arises not only from thermal spreading in the leads but also from a thermal average over different contact configuration. In particular, negative differential resistance nature was observed for TW-NO2 at the temperature of 100K in the positive and the negative bias region.

The Electron Stopper Layer Effect on Long-Wavelength VCSEL with AsSb-Based DBR Temperature Distribution

In this study, we have theoretically investigated the effect of electron stopper layer on internal temperature distribution of high performance vertical cavity surface-emitting laser emitting at 1305 nm. Simulation software PICS3D, which self-consistently combines the 3D simulation of carrier transport, self-heating, gain computation and wave-guiding, was used. Simulation results show that chan...

First Princiles Study of the Electron Transport Properties of Buthane-dithiol Nano-Molecular Wire

We report a first-principles study of electrical transport in a single molecular conductor consisting of a buthane-dithiol sandwiched between two Au (100) electrodes. We show that the current was increased by increasing of the external voltage biases. The projected density of states (PDOS) and transmission coefficients (T(E)) under various external voltage biases are analyzed, and it suggests t...

Planar perovskite solar cells using fullerene C70 as electron selective transport layer

Owing amongst other to its high electron mobility, fullerene C70, has been widely used as an electron transporting layer in organic solar cells. In this research, we report the use of C70 thin films as electron transport layers of planar perovskite solar cells (PSCs) using a conventional device structure. The thickness of the C70 layer has been optimized to achieve the best efficiency of 12%. I...
